Prince George, B.C.- The Northern Lights Festival is just a few hours away from officially opening, and crews have been giving the light a test run to make sure everything is ready for this evening’s opening.
Starting today at 5 and running each day from 5-10 pm, the Northern Lights Festival atop Connaught Hill, has become a holiday tradition in Prince George. There are 200 thousand lights used to make up the display which ranges from illuminated poinsettias to animated themes.
The cost to see the lights, is $10 per vehicle.
The festival runs through until 10 p.m. January 1st and has been the case in the past, there will be special opportunities for young and old alike.
There will be a tour following the special showing of the Polar Express on December 12th. Tickets for that movie and the tour are available at Scotia banks and all proceeds will go to the Canadian Diabetes Association. MLA Shirley Bond will once again host the Seniors Tea, which will be followed by a bus tour to the top of Connaught Hill.
