Members of the Amanita Middle Eastern Dance Troupe entertain those attending the Embrace Diversity Gala
Prince George, BC – It was a colourful cap to Multiculturalism Week celebrations in our city, as many of those in attendance at the Embrace Diversity gala wore traditional outfits to the festivities…
Hosted by the Immigrant and Multicultural Services Society, last night’s sell-out dinner and dance at the Ramada drew members from the local Chinese, East Indian, French, Korean, and Black communities.
"There’s a lot of people invited and there’s a lot who come out to give us support," says Brenda Langlois, IMSS’ French Settlement Services Coordinator. "Of course, there (were) also Canadian-born people. Diversity is all about including everybody."
