Cariboo Cougars Visit Abbotsford
Prince George, B.C. — After suffering their first two home losses of the season last weekend, the Cariboo Cougars are looking to get back on the winning track this weekend as they visit the Fraser Valley Thunderbirds in Abbotsford.
The Cougars find themselves in third place after last weekend’s pair of losses to the Canadians, two points back of the Okanagan Rockets and six back of the Vancouver NW Giants.
But it’s a good opportunity for the Cats who still boast the league’s most potent offence with 105 goals scored through the halfway point of the season, up against one of the league’s worst defences. The Thunderbirds have allowed 94 goals, the second most in the BCMML.
In the opening weekend of the season, the Cougars downed the Thunderbirds 4-2 and 7-3 at home.
Today’s game is set for 2:45pm at the Abbotsford Rec Centre with Sunday’s final regular season matchup between the two at 9:45am.
