CHANGE the sign from Canadian waterways to CANADA…

Who hasn’t done this?

Who needs clean water and wild rivers anyway?

Not very tasteful

Arguably the most stable economy on the world and this is the converge he gets, amazing.

A stable economy has nothing to do with gutting environmental laws.

What are you talking about? Nothing was gutted; you have to learn to start listening to both sides of the discussion and not just following the headlines that best suit your political slant.

“A stable economy has nothing to do with gutting environmental laws”

Yes gutted! Just research what they’re doing.

They’ve eliminated a bunch of unnecessary red tape. You still have to jump through the hoops created by the Canadian Environmental Assessment Act 2012, the Canadian Environmental Protection Act, the Species at Risk Act, the Fisheries Act, FRPA here in BC, etc. etc. etc. anytime you want to do any work on or near a Canadian waterway.

You people make it sound as though it has suddenly become a free for all on our lakes and rivers. And that’s nowhere near the truth.

No political cartoon of anyone whizzing in a lake or a stream when they built the Alaska Highway in 1942? I guess all the lefties were in Europe at the time. How did they survive after that highway was built? It wouldn’t be built today.

If it had to be built on a war footing like it was, it would be built.

So the lefties were in Europe at the time eh? Doing what… Fighting the war for the righties who I assume from your comment were at home building a highway? How can you be so ignorant?
