Tuesday, December 11, 2012 @ 9:41 AM

Clearwater, B.C.-  Search and Rescue and the RCMP underwater recovery team have located and recovered the vehicle belonging to a Clearwater couple whose vehicle lost control on Highway 5 on their way home then crashed into the North Thompson River.

The RCMP Underwater Recovery Team has located the driver, Skye Buck, but his wife Courtney Buck, is still missing.

Search efforts will continue throughout the day along the North Thompson River, however, the search process has been challenging due to winter weather conditions .

The collision occurred on Sunday, December 9th, 2012 at about 7 p.m., when members of the Southeast District RCMP Traffic Services and the Clearwater RCMP responded to a report of a single vehicle crash, at ‘Wolf’s Corner’ approximately 17 kilometres south of Clearwater.

Skye and Courtney Buck were teachers in Clearwater and well known members of the community. Grievance Counsellors and Victim Services have been brought in to assist with staff and students with the Clearwater High School and Elementary Schools, where the Buck’s were teachers.
