4% increase (cumulative) over two years, is a pretty good deal.

How much will low income, non-union, pensioners, etc; get over the same period of time. Probably nothing.

So, Hydro, ICBC, BCGEU, CUPE, etc’ etc; etc; have all got increases of aprox 4% over 2 years. Very nice indeed.

Others get nothing. How long can we continue with these increases with no corresponding increase in production, or responsibility. How big does the gap between, Government, Government entities, and unionized workers, have to get, before people come to realize that all is not well in BC.

Many people are feeling the pinch, ie; Pensioners, low income earners on restricted hours, and the retail industry, to name a few.

These people will not sit back much longer and go without, while those who are protected get the cream of the crop.

I agree with you 100% Palpu! It seems like just recently that a report was issued that talked about how excessive the wages were at BC Hydro.

Excessive wages and now a 4% cumulative salary increase over the next two years. Seems like the Hydro employees, the ICBC employees, CUPE members, BCGEU members are all doing very well.

I haven’t heard a single one of them complain about how their incomes plunged when the 2008 recession hit! Many of us are still trying to recover from that, inspite of having to pay for everyone else to have a raise!

I wonder how much my hydro bills are going to increase?? At least I’m still working and have the ability to work harder to make enough extra money to pay for these increases. Not so our Pensioners!!

As long as “big labour” is happy, to heck with the rest of us!
