Prince George, B.C. – It is not believed anyone was seriously hurt in a multi-vehicle accident in Prince George this evening.
The collision, on the west side of the Massey/Ospika intersection, involved four vehicles, three small cars and a pick-up. Details of just what occurred are not available as police review the matter and speak with the drivers. The accident occurred just before 6pm.
Roads in the city, and in fact the entire Central Interior, are quite slippery in most areas and extremely iced up and shiny at many intersections.
Motorists are advised to drive accordingly.

How about they drop a little sand down, as the picture shows they don’t drop a whole lot on that side of Massey Drive
Where do they drop sand?
The city uses the same rules as yrb on our highways. Once an accident has occured then they sand the intersection.
Is it true Mayor Greene is telling the city crew not to clear residential streets?
When the roads are hard frozen like this any sand put down only lasts a short time. Anyhow it is not rocket science seeing the roads are slippery, drive accordingly.
The speed limit is 50kmph. Normally people drive about 70 on Ospika so slowing down to 60 should work unless you have superior driving skills. THen the sky or the bumper of the car in front of you is the limit.
Yes, sadly Mayor green only allows road maintainance in her parking spot at city hall, in front of her shop, and her house.
Merry Christmas!
Stop blaming the roads for people’s lack of driving skills.
Lack of driving skills and commonsence. Throw in the X-mas panic factor.
Give me 1 good reason not to drive the Speed Limit or even less if the Roads are icy?
wahhwahwah wahhwa wahwah!!!
I wasn`t driving that fast.
wahwahwah wahwah??
the roads were just too slippery for any to be trying to stop.
wahwahwah wahwahwah wah!!!!
I wasn`t trying to make any dumb moves the roads were too slippery
wahwah wahwah wwah
how am I suppose to know that person was driving so slow,I didn`t think anyone drove that slow when it`s so slippery??
wahwahwahwah wah wahwah!!!!!
Nag!
My daughter has a learners license and has been spoiled by driving an AWD wagon with good studded winter tires. Today she got an education driving my 92 Ford service van. Got stuck in a school parking lot.She couldn’t get it moving at stop signs. Spun sideways when she over steered a couple of times. ( on a deserted road) On the drive home in the AWD I didn’t have to tell her to slow down.
I think a winter driving course like the one for the show Canada’s Worst Drivers would be a great idea. It would probably save lives and ICBC millions.Nothing like getting distracted and sliding through an intersection.
