Prince George, BC – Highway 1 is closed to traffic in both directions, just north of Boston Bar in the Fraser Canyon.

Corporal Ron Elliot with the Upper Fraser Valley Regional Detachment says RCMP received a report shortly before 10am this morning of power lines down on a vehicle 11-kilometres north of Boston Bar.

Elliot says officers arrived to find the occupants out of the vehicle, uninjured, and little-to-no damage to the vehicle; however, the power lines were across both lanes of the highway.

BC Hydro has determined a large tree came down on the power lines, a faller has been called in, but it is not yet known when the route will re-open.  The Highway remains closed south of Lytton to north of Yale.
