2nd Suspect Arrested in Recent Home Invasion

Prince George, B.C. – A second suspect has been arrested in connection with a home invasion in early December that  saw a disabled man get hit with  bear spray.

Prince George RCMP located and arrested John Robert Hawkins without incident. He was wanted in connection to the December 10th Home Invasion Robbery of a residence near Chief Lake Road, just outside Prince George city limits.  Three men had  forced their way into the home and bear sprayed all three adult occupants of the house, including a quadriplegic man who had no way to defend himself.  The  suspects stole his wallet and fled in a vehicle.

 
Hawkins, a 54 year old Prince George resident, has been charged by Provincial Crown Counsel with the following offences:
 
  • Robbery
  • Assault with a Weapon (3 counts)
  • Break & Enter
  • Mischief Under $5000
  • Theft Under $5000
  • Disguise With Intent To Commit An Indictable Offence
Both Hawkins and co-accused, Joel Milton Clark, have been remanded in custody until their next Court appearance scheduled for January 16th, 2013.
 
The investigation is continuing.
