13 Nailed for Impaired by Quesnel RCMP

Quesnel, B.C. – Quesnel RCMP and Cariboo Chilcotin Traffic Services took a total of 13 impaired drivers off the roads this holiday season.
Between December 1st, 2012 and January 2nd, 2013, police in Quesnel issued:
- Four 90 day Immediate Roadside Prohibitions,
- Two 24 hour prohibitions to drivers who were impaired by drugs,
- one 90 day Administrative Driving Prohibition to a snowmobile operator and
- arrested six people who are now facing Criminal Code charges for Impaired Driving offences.
Police in Quesnel will be conducting regular traffic stops and will be setting up CounterAttack checkstops throughout the year to ensure that roads are the safest they can be. If you plan to drink, don’t drive.
