Prince George, B.C.- The City of Prince George continues to be one of the most affordable communities in B.C. when it comes to housing.
According to the B.C. Assessment, of the top ten highest assessed residences in Northern B.C., only two are in Prince George and neither one is at the top of the list.
The highest assessed property in Northern B.C. is in Fort St. John. It is listed as a rural property with an assessed value of $2,142,000.00.
Prince George’s highest assessed property is in College Heights and is assessed at $1,444,000.00. That was high enough to put it in the number 5 spot, behind 2 Dawson Creek area homes and 2 Fort St. John rural residences.
The second highest assessed property in P.G. is a rural acreage on Chief Lake Road that came in at number 8 in the top ten list with an assessed value of $1,243,000.00
For comparison sake, the highest assessed residential property in the Province is on Belmont Avenue in the Point Grey neighbourhood of Vancouver. It is assessed at a whopping $39,269,000.00

I totally agree with people who are saying there is much better choice in the lower mainland if one is in the market for condos. Besides, who needs acreage? You can see more acreage from that suite than you would ever want.
Thank you for that information, Gus. Its so interesting. I ewonder where I would have to go to find the assassed value of property in BC.
Cheers
