"We’ve seen a decline in impaired drivers on our roads in 2012" states Sgt. Al Steinhauser, in charge of the Prince George Detachment’s Traffic Services Unit. "People are being more responsible by choosing alternative rides home and we are finding more vehicles being left over night at various drinking establishments. We believe this is in large part due to the Immediate Roadside Prohibition legislation that was added to the Motor Vehicle Act."

Nice!
If stupidity counted as an impairment that number would be a lot higher. :)
I only see 119 impaired convictions–why so many suspensions? Are all those the people that had a glass of wine with lunch?
Drivers were probably to and from all the liqour stores around the city. ;)
How many didn’t they catch!
There are so many liquor stores around in this town there is no need to drive because one will surely be close by.
“How many didn’t they catch”
None. Remember, the RCMP always gets their man …..
They stopped my friend in late December the very instatnt he left the pub. He told me the cop was very abrasive and didn’t want to hear what he was saying. Namely; he was working with operation red nose and was driving two people home. Isn’t stopping someone without a reasonable cause a form of arbitrary detainment? I think so. I guess the Charter is only for the people who are not cops or CO’s.
