Prince George- Six people have been charged in connection with what police are calling, a horrific brutal assault, and sexual assault of one youth, along with the assault of a second male youth on, Monday January 7th.
Charged are Hayden Lee Alwood, 18, 20 year old Mercedes Rae Jewett, and three male youths 15, and two 17 years old, along with a 15 year old female.
The six have been charged with aggravated sexual assault, aggravated assault, assault causing bodily harm, and two counts of unlawful confinement.
The provincial crown counsel says they are now looking at the charges and they may be amended in the coming days. Names of all of those under the age of 18 cannot be released.
The charges come following a tip that an unconscious youth was lying in the snow behind an apartment in the 1600 block of Juniper. He is in hospital in stable condition.
Following the attack police obtained search warrants and were able to arrest the six.

DEATH SENTENE!!!!
Six more arrests for violent crimes in PG. Say it together – Macleans Here We Come! When these offenders get sent away they will have all their sexual needs answered by the general population inmates.
Horrible that many involved are so young. What the heck will they be like when they get older?
How could they even think of doing anything like that let alone actually do it. Publish all the names and bump them up to adult court. This act should follow them for the rest of their lives, because it will be a life long horrible memory for the victims and their families.
Hayden Lee Atwood, 18, 20 year old Mercedes Rae Jewett both have facebook pages. Go look. Mercedes is a teen mother, and Hayden is a lesbian. Why would either of them wish to rape someone? They are from Calgary too, not even born and raised in PG! THANKS for getting us into Mcleans ONCE AGAIN as the top crime city in Canada.
I am sickened by this. I hope that they all get long jail time and the the so called young offenders will be treated as adults for this crime. Opine never mind about McLeans this story has made most of the papers accross canada as their headlines and TV stations. They are all talking about it.
Awesome///4 blocks from my house.
