Quesnel, B.C. – A  vehicle fire  near the Dunkley Lumber turn off on  Hghway 97,  has reduced traffic to single, alternating  flows.

The fire was first reported to RCMP around 11:15 this morning.  The vehicle  was parked on the  shoulder of the road , the driver and his child  ( age not available at this time) standing  near by. 

No one hurt,  and  because the vehicle  is outside a fire protection zone, the  fire  was being allowed to burn itself out.  One the  fire is out and the remains cool enough to handle, what’s left  of the  van will be hauled away.

Police  are continuing to  investigate  what sparked the fire.
