North Nicholson House Fire Doused

Prince George, B.C. – Prince George Fire Rescue crews were called out to a structure fire on North Nicholson Street just before 3 this morning.
Eleven firefighters from two halls responded to a fire in a basement bedroom in the residential dwelling at 193 North Nicholson. There was one person in the residence at the time who was safely evacuated.
Firefighters put the blaze out in short order and there were no injuries. Damage is estimated at $30,000. The cause has not been determined, although it is not considered suspicious according to fire officials.
