P.G. Tier 2 Cougars Host Team for Tourney

Prince George B.C. – The Prince George Tier Two Credit Union Cougars home tournament gets underway today and will have the Kin Centre busy with hockey all weekend long.
Officially called the Prince George Motors Bantam Tier 2 Tournament, teams from Williams Lake, Quesnel, Kamloops, Terrace, Smithers, Kitimat and Dawson Creek will be taking part in the tourney.
The P.G. Credit Union Cougars have 17 players, including eleven who are into their second year. 14 year olds Rylan Anderson, Tyson Ghostkeeper, Connor Johnson, Corbin Normand, Cole Powar, Rob Raju, Tanner Riplinger, Isaac Rogers, Brandon Sande, Devyn Wasylyshen and Ryan Watson are joined by 6 first year bantam players (13 year olds) – Austin Heidt, Bobby Legare, Tyler MacSemniuk, Logan Morris, Cameron Prouse and Matthias Urbanski. AP Players from Bantam T3 include; Landon Kitchen, Scott Walters, Dean Whitcomb, Dylan Lukinchuk, and Tyler Marsh.
It has been a busy season for the team as they have played 42 games and attended 4 tournaments, and there are at least another 15 games to go, including the 5 set for this tournament. It means that when the season finally comes to a close, this team will have played more games than have been scheduled for the 2-12/13 NHL season.
