She  feared for her safety, and when  the  driver slowed to cross a bridge, she jumped  from the window of the  vehicle.  The driver did not stop.  He was last seen in the Hagwilget area on Highway 62 heading towards Highway 16.

The driver is described as a Caucasian male, heavy set, approximately 40 to 50 years of age. He has grey hair and was wearing dark brown glasses and a jean jacket.

Michael Moore got an alibi?

He looks like 1/4 of the male population in Northern BC. On a more serious note, I sure hope they catch him and maybe link him to some, if not all, of the Highway of Tears cases.

Haha, omg, Michael Moore. Obviously in the area, filming a documentary about abductions.

born: “He looks like 1/4 of the male population in Northern BC.”

…or about 3/4 of PG men. I see this guy everywhere.

to bad it takes this long, when I read this story last year I tought, why does the police not block the highway on both sides of hazelton and look for this van right away and check who owns a red mini van thru insurance records within a sudden range.Unless the girl didn,t come to police right away, this guy might well have been worth catching, and worth the efford of getting on it right away
