Heritage Week Shares Regional Roots

Prince George, B.C.- This is Heritage Week in B.C. and the Regional District of Fraser Fort George is hoping you will find out more about the region in which we live by visiting a local museum. 
 
“ “We have a rich history that is on display at our local museums” says Regional District Chair Art Kaehn “ The staff and volunteers at our museums, art galleries and heritage sites work hard to preserve our past and interpret stories that bring our heritage alive.”
 
Tomorrow, Exploration Place will be the site for the Heritage Awards as several homes in the Crescents area of Prince George will be officially recognized for their architectural qualities which speak to the development of Prince George.

 
The Regional District provides financial support to many of the cultural sites in the Prince George area, including Huble Farm, Exploration Place, the Two rivers Art Gallery  and the Railway and Forestry  Museum.
 
The Regional District also provides funding to the Mackenzie and District Museum Society, the Whistle Stop Gallery in McBride , the Valley Museum and Archives in McBride and the Valemount and Area Museum and Archives.
