Prince George, B.C. – Kayla Morin is just eleven years old, but she has shown determination far beyond her years.
Kayla made scarves, then sold them as a means of raising funds to buy a television for a paediatrics room at the hospital in Vanderhoof.
Her efforts raised $350 dollars.
The Board for the Northern Health Authority praised Kayla’s efforts by presenting her with a gift to recognize her efforts, consideration and leadership.
“We have amazing people all over the North doing incredible things for others,” said Dr. Charles Jago, Northern Health Board Chair. “It’s a privilege and an honour to have the opportunity to receive a donation from an individual, especially from someone so young.”
Kayla will turn her funds over to the Spirit of the North Foundation.
