The mine is expected to produce about 60,000 tonnes per day of gold and silver ore over its 17 year life.
The CEAA will make $71,400 available to enable participation in the process.
Applications must be filed with the agency by March 22nd.
To apply for funding contact the Participant Funding Program at PFP.PAFP@ceaa-acee.gc.ca or call 1-866-582-1884.

Air pollution?
The mine may process 60,000 tons of material per day but it’s not going to produce 60,000 tons of gold and silver ore.
“The mine may process 60,000 tons of material per day but it’s not going to produce 60,000 tons of gold and silver ore.”
Ore is the bulk rock that contains the mineral reserve.. Yes they will run 60 000 tons through the mill.. Depending on ore mineral grades under 3% in most mines comes out as concentrate. In primary gold and silver mines depending on grade even less than 1% actually contains the gold and silver. In a Moly mine .008% ore grade is considered high grade.
This is why commodity price are so high.. Its due to the pysical labour (machines and man) it takes to produce them. Not to mention suply and demand plays a big part but gone are the days when you can mine the native elements by hand.
