Prince George, B.C. – Customers who shop at BC Liquor Stores can support alcohol-free events for graduating high school students by making a donation to this year’s Dry Grad campaign.
Contributions by BC Liquor Store customers and staff top up funds raised by parents, students and teachers who work throughout the year raising money for alcohol-free graduation celebrations.
Last year, BC Liquor Store contributions amounted to over $540,000 which went into grad events such as carnival nights, overnight camping trips and boat cruises. More than $4.4 million has been raised over the past decade.
More than 250 high schools in 55 districts are participating in the Dry Grad program this year. All Support Dry Grad donations from each BC Liquor Store go to the local school district, which in turn provides the funding to the various dry grad committees.
The BC Liquor Store campaign runs to March 30th.
