Prince George, B.C. – Police say one person was killed and several injured in a collision between a charter bus out of Prince George and a car Friday afternoon between Cache Creek and Kamloops.
The collision occurred shortly after 3:30pm Friday 15 kilometres east of Cache Creek. The bus was transporting a group of Special Olympians and their coaches from Prince George to Kelowna for a winter festival. Following impact, the car burst into flames. The driver and up to 18 passengers on the bus were taken to Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops for treatment of injuries and to be checked over. The most serious injuries were said to be a broken foot and a broken hand.
