Tumbler Ridge- Police are asking searchers who want to enter the search for a missing snowmobiler to stay out the area where he was last observed.

The Search and rescue say they have located what they believe is a track made by the snowmobile.

Search and rescue have deployed a helicopter and an Avalanche Technician who are searching the area this morning.

Family and friends say the operator of the sled was last seen at 10am. Wednesday along the Core Ridge Rd, and then they went into the Babcock Mountain area. The sledder was not equipped with proper safety or communication gear.

The search has prompted many people in the community to volunteer their support which police say they appreciate, but are asking them to stay out of the area in question until the experts have done their work.
