Sledder Found Safe
Tumbler Ridge, B.C. – A snowmobiler who was overdue from a ride, has been found.
RCMP media liaison Constable Lesley Smith, says the sledder was located by Search and Rescue just before noon. The condition of the sledder or how he spent the night, are not yet known. Investigators are not within cell range, and will only be able to provide that information when they have returned to cell service.
The sledder was reported overdue last night, when he failed to return from a ride. (see previous story). Search and Rescue had asked volunteers to stay clear of the area where the sledder had last been seen as they beleived they were following his track. The good news is the sledder ( his age, name and hometown are not available) has been located.
