Thursday, March 14, 2013 @ 3:58 AM
Prince George, B.C. –Wade Davis, the author of “The Sacred Headwaters: the Fight to save the Stikine, Skeena and Nass “ as well as several other books, will deliver the keynote address at the annual Dr. Bob Ewert Lecture and Dinner.

Named one of the National Geographic  Society’s “Explorers of the Millenium”, Davis was chosen   because of the current environmental concerns rising from economic  development.  “The organizing committee felt he would be thought-provoking at a time when communities across the region are engaged in intensive discussions about the future of our economy and environment” says Dr. David Nelson, president of Northern Medical Society.

The dinner and lecture   will take place on April 6th at the Prince George Civic Centre. Ticket information can be obtained by contacting the Office of External Relations at UNBC – 250.960.5750, or at development@unbc.ca.
