Man Charged in Connection with January Incident

Prince George, B.C. –   Provincial Crown Counsel has approved a charge against a Prince George man who is suspected  of being involved in a January incident where a teenage girl was spoken to while walking to school.
The 15 year old girl was walking to Duchess Park Secondary on January 9th when a man a dark Ford Explorer pulled over and told her to get in. The   vehicle   left when the teen pulled out a cell phone. The teen reported to police the same vehicle reappeared as she walked through the parking lot at the Parkwood Mall.   When she arrived at the school she called police.
The teen told police this was the third time in a month that this same man had confronted her.
A suspect was picked up on January 15th and released on a number of conditions including:
·      No contact with the victim;
·      Not to be found alone with anyone under the age of 19;
·      Not to be found within 50 metres of any school property, swimming pool or playground where children under the age of 19 may be found.
 
A charge of Criminal Harassment has now been approved against 52 year old Andrew Bower of Prince George. 

He is scheduled to appear in court again on May 22nd
