Burns Lake, B.C. – Residents of Burns Lake will get a chance  on the 27^th of this month to meet with the folks who be building the new Lakes District Hospital.

 

PCL Constructors Westcoast Inc. was chosen to finalize a Design-Build Agreement with Northern Health to deliver the new Lakes District Hospital and Health Centre.

 

The meeting that will take place at the Burns Lake Chamber of Commerce will also provide an opportunity for area residents to learn more about the design, timelines, process, and related business opportunities. The winners of the School District 91 and Northern Health art contest will also be announced.

 

The new hospital and health centre will house 16 beds, provide acute care and emergency services, diagnostic imaging, a laboratory and pharmacy. Facility space is planned for the medical clinic along with the delivery of mental health and additions services, public health, and home and community care, and will include administrative and logistical services.  

 

The meeting is set to start at 6 p.m. on the 27^th.
