Dust Advisory Ends

Prince George, B.C. – The Dust Advisory for Prince George is over.
The Ministry of the Environment reports that at 3 this afternoon, the 24 hour rolling average for coarse particulate was 47 µg/m3 at the Plaza 400 downtown, 23 µg/m3 at College Heights and 38 µg/m3 at BCR. Those numbers are within the Provincial target for (PM10) which is is 50 micrograms per cubic metre averaged over 24 hours.
As for fine particulate, (PM2.5) the provincial target is 25 micrograms per cubic metre, averaged over 24 hours. The 24 hour PM2.5 rolling average was 6 µg/m3 at the Plaza 400 downtown site and 4 µg/m3 at College Heights at 3 this afternoon.

Snow will melt in the spring so why plow it. Air advisories caused by road dust will go away when the wind comes up.
