Fun Run Program In Stride
Prince George, B.C. – For the third straight year, the Grils’ Run for Fun program is ready to hit the pavement.
This program, operated by the Prince George RCMP’s Victim Services and Community Policing units, brings girls between the ages of 10 – 15 together every Tuesday and Thursday to talk about important issues, and to train for a 5km challenge race.

The program runs from May 7th to June 27th with the 5 km challenge race and picnic to be held Saturday June 29th.
This free program had more than 50 girls register for the Run for Fun program and more than 30 girls completed the 5 kilometre challenge race.
Each session starts with a speaker who will address some of the important challenges youth face, such as drug and alcohol awareness, social media safety, anti-bullying, gang violence and self esteem. After the talk, girls break into training groups to prep for the 5km challenge run.
Registration applications are available at the community policing office at the corner of 6th and Brunswick.
