Two Dawson Creek Area Men Charged in Firearms Case

Dawson Creek, B.C. – Two men are facing charges following an investigation into a firearm importation case.
 
In late March, Dawson Creek RCMP worked with the Canadian Border Services Agency worked together, after a prohibited firearm was intercepted in the mail.
 
The investigation lead to the execution of search warrants on three separate locations. One lsearch resulted in the seizure of a home made silencer, firearms and ammunition.
 
Two Dawson Creek males aged 40 and 31 years, have been charged with the importation of a prohibited firearm.
 
Several additional firearms charges are still under investigation.
 
Both males have been released on bail and have their next court appearance on April 30th, 2013.
