Outsourcing

I remember walking the picket line for 5 1/2 months to try and stop outsourcing.

Once the big corporation crushed the union we saw over 7000 good jobs (skilled Jobs) head to India and the Philipines.

Mostly IT and Design & Engineering departments gone.

We did our best to stop it, all we could do was slow their agenda down a bit, but the corp held all the cards and has the clout to acheive their goals.
It is sad to experience this in our Country.

The next to be outsourced are trades people! Fast track to Canadian standards coming to a college near you for 20,000 a seat.

Once again, the balance of power has swayed too far. Prepare for things to get progressively worse before they get better. Outsourcing is one of the first definate signs that Government and Corporations have accumulated too much power away from the people.
Unfortunately in order for the balance to be restored, it will entail the people to demand the power back IE: labour unrest, strikes etc. Complacency of the people has given those in power the ability to force change IE: “zero mandates” to the public sector, outsourcing to the corporate sector. Hang on to your hats, if we do not have a change in govt during this election, it could be very bumpy ride.
