Smithers- RCMP are continuing  their efforts to find witnesses in a assault, and forcible confinement, of a female after she was held against her will in a transport truck.

As a result of work by the North District 911 team, and the Smithers RCMP , police were able to locate the suspect and his victim after their cell phones were pinged and they were able to identify the transport truck the man was driving. The whole rescue took only 90 minutes.

RCMP arrested 24 year old Robert Fagg of Williams Lake . Fagg has been charged with assault, forcible confinement and uttering threats against the 26 year old victim . He also has been charged with breach of an undertaking and Recognizance.

Fagg has also been charged in connection with several incidents that occurred in Williams Lake between December 1-2012 and January 1 2013.

Police say they are still looking for more witnesses to come forward to help in the investigation.
