NDP Campaign Sign Tampering

Friday, April 19, 2013 @ 3:50 AM
Prince George, B.C. – Prince George NDP candidates aren’t happy to learn some of their campaign signs have been disappearing from private property.

NDP candidate for Prince George- Mackenzie Bobby Deepak is trying to be light hearted about it, saying his campaign signs are in such high demand someone has taken all of his signs that were placed on properties on his street, including those on his own lawn.
“I’m glad voters want to display the orange NDP signs, but they should visit our office in the Parkhill Centre and pick up their own. We have plenty for everyone, and we’ll even deliver!”

This is not the first time NDP signs have been tampered with in Prince George says   regional communications manager Tim Renneberg.  “On Monday I got a call for a gentleman who had placed a sign on his lawn, only to wake up in the morning and discover the sign had been removed.”

Renneberg says Elections BC has been notified , more as a “heads up” at this point, but Elections BC says it has not been contacted, and adds that this is a matter that falls under the  jurisdiction of the local police.

Maybe it was the same people that stole the nimby signs in Haldi area…. LOL

happens every election

See what happens when kids are left unsupervised at night. Do you know where your children were last night?

One of the dirt bikers knocked down a Liberal sign on foothills. Why isn’t that a headliner?

You know its either a slow news day or a reporter that doesn’t want to work much when this stuff makes headlines.
It happens every election and it happens to all parties.

I do like how the NDP in general are running a positive campaign and not mud slinging and bringing up ancient stuff from over a decade ago. Even Deepak’s response about the signs, in such high demand, people came and took them. Kuddo’s to them.

Who in their right mind would want an NDP, Liberal, or any political sign???

I suspect people are more concerned about having the signs on lawns in residential areas. It doesn’t do anything for the neibourhood.

Lunar: “I do like how the NDP in general are running a positive campaign and not mud slinging “

The NDP are using negative ads as well. The only reason they are used is because they work.

As for sign tampering, this happens every election, to all parties.

havent seen one yet Johnny …. care to elaborate ?

I don’t watch much TV, but I have heard the radio ad… which starts with an alarm sound and the narrator says “System failure…” etc.

Perhaps one day our society can advance to the point when political advertising road signs are a thing of the past! The parties could (if they were smart) all agree to take the money which they were going to spend on that useless nonsense and give it to the Sally Ann and the food banks instead! I am sure that if a survey would be conducted asking people if their choice had been influenced by any of the above ridiculous sign baloney the answer would be a resounding NO!

Perhaps one day our society can advance to the point when people recognize these brutal attack ads as a character failure of the ones that plan them and pay for them!

Until then it is worse than mudwrestling in a pig’s sty!

Don’t believe this guy, there is no lawn in the PG/Mackenzie riding yet.

Must be the work of CC4CC.

There are patches of lawn in the PG
/Mackenzie riding but they are only over the septic tanks. I noticed the ones with Liberal signs planted in them are the largest and greenest!

Major destruction of a large NDP sign on Foothills by University Way. Someone has some serious mental issues.

signage is an environmental outrage… we need huge LED jumbotrons to brainwash us

they will be powered by cycling units for charity by the party faithful… or delusional :-)

VOTE FOR “ROB” red, orange, blue May 14th/13

ROB: transitive verb to take something illegally from a person or place,

that’s why we have a city mayor and most of council, the Fehrs, Smiths, puppet friends and followers to change rules/law to mitigate ROB
