Prince George, B.C. – Strong winds blowing through north-central B.C. continue to leave power outages in their wake.
There are currently 24 outages in the Central Interior which have been reported to B.C. Hydro. They affect 1948 customers, 1472 of them in the Prince George area. Quesnel has 223 customers without power, Williams Lake 263.
In the Northern region, there are 24 current outages as well, affecting 3496 customers. Fort St James has 615 customers in the dark, Vanderhoof 462 and Burns Lake 178. The rest of the outages are small and scattered from Vanderhoof out to the coast, and up to Dawson Creek.

Yikes – I hope the power stayed on at home on the farm. The incubator is plugged in & I’m not there to run the generator if the power fails! Gulp. C’mon mother nature – not in my back yard today please.
Affected 615 customers in Fort St. James. eh? Is that just the number of people who called and complained or are there only 615 people left in the Fort every weekend?
BCRacer care to elaborate.
Cue the inane Smart Meter comments… oops… too late.
