Gorgeous, But No Record Weekend

Monday, May 6, 2013 @ 4:00 AM
Prince George, B.C.- It was the warmest weekend of 2013 so far, but it was no record breaker for Prince George.
Saturday, we topped out at  23.5 degrees, close, but not enough to top the record of 25.2 on May 4th 1998.
Sunday, the high was 24.4. That was 2.5 degrees below the record of 26.9 set on May 5th 1990.
There were records broken in the lower mainland thought, with Whistler, Pitt Meados, Victoria, Abbotsford and Pemberton all hitting new highs.
Trevor Smith,  meteorologist with Environment Canada says the really warm weather will move into the Okanagan today, and its expected more records will topple.
Not so for Prince George, we are expected to see a high in the 20 degree range.
