Five Face Drug Charges in Ft. St. John
Fort St. John, B.C.- Five people in Fort St. John face drug related charges following a search of two apartments in that city.
The Fort St. John RCMP Drug Unit, along with General Duty Members, executed search warrants at two apartment residences last Friday. Marijuana, cocaine, Oxycontin and a significant amount of cash were seized.
Four adult males and one adult female aged 23-31, were arrested at the time. Police are recommending charges of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking against all five and a charge of Possession of a Prohibited Weapon against two of the suspects.
"Recent drug overdoses involving cocaine and Oxycontin in Fort St. John lead us to believe that more people are experimenting with ‘poly drug use"
, says Cpl. Jodi Shelkie with the Crime Prevention Unit. "Using any illegal drug is very hazardous. The act of ‘poly drug use’ is even more dangerous and can often be deadly."
The five accused have since been released and are expected to appear in court in July

I thought there was a law against that? I guess some people don’t know. Or don’t care.
You mean against them being released? Yah! LOL
A law is just a mental perception of wrongdoing which you just interpret to your liking. To put it another way, what’s the penalty of any law on the overall scheme of things in your life? Going through a red light after stopping at five o’clock in the morning or building a factory out of crap that kills 900 people?
