Long Weekend Means Camping Season

Prince George, B.C. – The Victoria Day long weekend sparks the start of the camping season for many and B.C. Parks is sending out a reminder that you can reserve a spot at many of the Provincial Parks.
Reservations in BC Parks are already up 10 per cent this year to date, at 36,038 reservations compared to 32,729 reservations in 2012.
Those searching for long-weekend availability can do so by visiting the Discover Camping website, then select the desired dates under quick dates in step two, and click on the "in a list" icon under find sites.
There are over 5,000 reservable sites in 95 provincial parks throughout the province. Up to three reservations can be made online in one transaction through Discover Camping.
Individual sites are available up to three months in advance, while group sites are available up to 12 months in advance.
