Prince George, B.C. – A load of lumber bound for the CN rail yard to be loaded and shipped, ended up on the pavement this afternoon.
The truck carrying the load, tipped and landed on it’s side at the entrance of the CN Intermodal facility at River Road in Prince George.
The driver was not injured.
Police have charged the driver of the rig with driving without due care and attention.

Cut the corner much? :D
Real baddddddddd…..day for the CN yard
Was there a mini earthquake in that area today? LOL
Yikes!!!!
I know driver’s of these big trucks are human and humans make mistakes. What I saw today out in the BCR industrial site wasn’t just a mistake by the driver of a tractor. He merged onto Hwy. 97 South instead of yielding and cut off a small white car. Then, after the car honked its horn to let the driver know what he had done, the driver of the tractor swerved hi vehicle at the small white car when it pulled into the other lane to pass the tractor that had just cut it off. At this point the speeds were pretty high. I sure wish I had gotten that driver’s licence plate number and/or the name of the company on the side. Scary stuff.
I wouldn’t reccomend flying over the CN yards today
Truck drivers today have no courtesy for any others on the road anymore. Travelling to 100 Mile House today I ran into numerous trucks loaded or empty, holding traffic up going up hills with no passing lanes then hitting upwards of 120 kph giving no one a chance to pass, then start the game all over again on the next hill.
I especially like the ones that travel nose to tail then try to pass on a passing lane at 40 kph and no one wins. Size two hats and size twelve boots nowadays.
Before you so called professional drivers start calling me down, I do have a class one drivers license and have held it for over thirty years. I still use courtesy while on the road something the truck drivers of today should learn.
How embarrassing, eh? One would think he got a 62% on his Class 1 test. I remember the episode where Homer’s sisters-in-law reluctantly gave Otto his drivers license.
Acrider, you may HAVE a class one, but do you ACTUALLY USE your class one? From the sounds of your comment you are just a “super trucker” who likes to troll on any drivers he can find. People do not realize how important big rigs are, and how difficult they are to drive. That doesn’t even begin to show what idiots in thier car will do around big rigs. It is a very tough job.
Oh, I have my class one and I USE IT!!!
I am not saying that all drivers are good, there are a few bad apples.
It’s was the wind!

great job of painting everyone on the road with one brush. I guess the way you explain it every passenger vehicle on the road is driven by an idiot because I once saw one pass on a double solid line.
courtesy is a two way street, it also applies to civilians.
one thing to take into consideration when your traveling, you are now in the trucks workplace, how do you like it when a bunch of idiots come into your workplace and screw around?
It’s really amazing the comments that get posted about bad truck drivers from people that know squat about how to actually drive one.
Class 1 experience should be mandatory to get your class 5.
This is nothing. CN had a coal train de-rail yesterday by the Cameron Street bridge. Unreal the equipment involved to repair the torn up track etc.
Hey acrider hows the truck holding up traffic going up the hill if there is no passing lane? It’s not like the driver intentionally goes slow to hold you up. Then the truck goes upwards of 120 kmh. That would mean you had to be doing 120kmh to. Had you said “for how fast the truck gained ground he had to be doing at least 120kmh”. Oh btw i drive truck. I keep to the posted speed limit and when someone catches up to me and i am slowing them down, i let them around me first safe and legal chance i get. So what kind of driver does that make me?
