Prince George, B.C.- The countdown is on for the Canada North Resources Expo.
Set for Friday and Saturday, the two day event at the Exhibition Grounds in Prince George is expecting about 7 thousand visitors.
The Central Interior Logging Association (CILA) Executive Director and Resources Expo Society Chair MaryAnne Arcand says the exhibit opportunities have been sold out for more than a month.
“Exhibitors are coming from all over northern BC and Alberta, and western Canada, to showcase the latest in equipment and technology for the natural resource and transportation industries” says Arcand.
One of the features this year is called ““Recruiting Here”. It will allow many of the exhibitors to take resumes on site. That will be a big bonus as there are plenty of high school and post secondary grads in town who will be able to make a direct connection with a potential employer.
Saturday is family focused “Future of the Industry Day”. This will provide an opportunity for youth to see all the equipment and technology the resource industries use, and to start thinking about careers in northern BC.
