Coroners Service Takes Over Hixon Fire Death

Hixon, BC – The RCMP say they are handling over the investigation of a residential fire in Hixon that claimed the life of one man to the BC Coroners service.
Police say there is no evidence of foul play in the fire and subsequent death.
On June 10th, fire investigators from the RCMP, and the Office Of The Fire Commissioner , sifted through the site of the residence that was destroyed by fire.
During that search, human remains were found , but no evidence was found that would support a homicide investigation. The fire was reported at 3.30pm. June 8th.
