Prince George, B.C.-  There is a severe thunderstorm watch in effect for Prince George.

Environment Canada says conditions  are favourable   for the development of thunderstorms  today across the Central Interior of British Columbia. The potential exists that some of these thunderstorms may become severe this afternoon. The main threats from these storms are large hail, damaging wind gusts, intense lightning, and heavy downpours.

There is a potential for large hail and damaging winds.
