Prince George, B.C. – Weather permitting, there will be another couple of major road rehab project getting underway in Prince George.
The first project is slated to start today and will see work on 22nd Avenue from Highway 97 through to Ospika Boulevard. This will see a little over 2 lane kilometers rehabilitated using a combination of the “mill and fill” method as well as curb relief and overlay. The estimated cost of this job is $413,000 and it will take about a week to complete.
Then tomorrow, work is set to begin on University Way, northbound. This project has a cost estimate of $567,000 and will upgrade 4.84 lane kilometers through the "mill and fill" process. Again, the project is expected to take about a week to complete as long as the weather cooperates. University Way is a popular route for walkers and joggers but the road work is not expected to have any impact on those activities as the sidewalks on both sides of the road will remain open during this project.
