Prince George, B.C. – The carving “Light of New Hope” has a new home.
Originally, the artwork by Nissga artist Randy Adams, was part of the Spirit of the North Healthcare Foundation’s donor recognition wall in the lobby of the former Prince George Regional Hospital.
The carving was moved as the hospital underwent extensive renovations, including the development of a new donor recognition wall.
Today, the Spirit of the North Healthcare Foundation rededicated the carving for it’s new home, the Spiritual Health centre at the University Hospital of Northern B.C.. The re-dedication is part of the celebrations for Aboriginal Day.

‘The spiritual health department is comprised of spiritual health practitioners’ Nice to see NHA blowing more of the provinces tax dollars on people that believe in ghosts and men can walk on water?
This is how the anti abortionists and born agains weaseled their way into the hospital.
hmm… a Christian Federal Conservative government establishing an “Office of Religion” comes to mind. Ignore the fact that we have a church going prime minister denying any knowledge of a possible illegal $90K payout from his right hand man, in his own PMO, which the RCMP is currently investigating for criminal wrong-doing.
hmmm… a bible belt (Abbotsford) city mayor and council’s answer to their homeless problem; throw chicken manure at the down and out to make them move on… thanks for the ethics and value lessons, but can I take a pass?
