Road Closure Reminder

Monday, June 24, 2013 @ 3:49 AM
Prince George, B.C. – Area motorists are reminded that as of today and running to the end of July, the southbound lane of Northwood Pulpmill Road will be closed to all traffic.

The City of Prince George is installing a watermain in that lane of the road, from Aberdeen Road to Clubhouse Drive. That’s being done to provide a more reliable flow and improved fire protection in that area.

The northbound lane will be open to local residents and pulp mill traffic.
Large trucks heading south from the mill will be detoured to Highway 97 using Noranda Road. The City says residents and businesses will have access to their properties during the watermain installation period.

Wow. Thought when the the poor Haldi people amalgamated into the city they were promised water and sewer. LOL

Is there a water flow problem in that area?? Would that be the Aberdeen Golf Course houses??

New light commercial going in on the West side of Northwood Pulp Mill road, perhaps this is where the water is needed.

I agree, Palopu. I live on Inverness Rd. and although the pump station has had some ‘issues’; it seems to me that the city is ‘planning ahead’ for something that I thought wasn’t approved yet!! I’m sure the golf course may benefit; but in my opinion, this up grade is just a bonus for them!
