Crash Claims One Life Near Terrace
Terrace, B.C.- A single vehicle crash on Highway 113 has claimed the life of a woman.
RCMP say a member of the Terrace detachment came upon the crash site about 11 kms north of Terrace around 7:30 last night.
An elderly couple traveling north on Highway 113 in a 2000 Ford pickup, lost control leaving the road and landing upside down in the northbound ditch.
The 74 year old female passenger died at the scene, while the 78 year old male driver was transported to Mills Memorial Hospital after being extricated by Terrace Fire & Rescue. He was later transported by air ambulance to Vancouver General Hospital.
West Pacific Region Traffic Services along with the Integrated Collision Analyst and Reconstruction Services continue to investigate the cause of the collision. Alcohol is not believed to be a factor.
