Mayor’s Response to Conflict Allegation Filed

Friday, June 28, 2013 @ 4:30 PM
Prince George, B.C. – The Mayor’s response to a court action which calls on the Court to determine if she was in conflict in voting on matters related to the Haldi Road area OCP amendment  and rezoning has been filed.

In the response, Mayor Shari Green says she is not in conflict, that she had sought legal advice twice to clarify that she was not in conflict after a campaign worker had ceased to work for the applicant.  The response says contrary to reports which suggest otherwise, she is not an “old Friend” of Brian Fehr who is the co-owner of the property in question.

The response also asks that should the Court determine she was in conflict, that it be considered an  “ error in judgment in good faith” because she did seek two different legal opinions and both advised she was not in conflict.
