Local Connection with Musical Ride

Prince George, B.C. –When the RCMP Musical Ride   arrives in Prince George, it will be a special homecoming for two of the members of the team.
 
Constables Brett Cunningham and Jennifer McRae are both originally from Prince George. They are also the only two B.C. members on the 2012 Musical Ride Team.
 
Cunningham  started his career with the RCMP in 2005 when he volunteered with the Prince George Detachment’s Community Policing section. In 2008 he was accepted to the RCMP Training Academy n Regina.
 
The Duchess Park grad says he’s excited about this triumphant return home “every Ride member wants to show in their hometown, but not every Ride member gets to" states Cst. Cunningham. "As someone who had never ridden a horse before, to now traveling our country with the other riders, this is a great experience and something I will always look back on."
 
This is Cst. Cunningham’s first year on the Musical Ride, but he is not the only rookie. His “mount” a 17.1 hands tall Hanoverian gelding named “Bruce” is also experiencing his first year in the Musical Ride. 
 
The RCMP Musical Ride will be performing two shows in Prince George. The first will begin on Saturday July 14th at 7:00 pm. The second show  followed by the second show on Sunday July 15th at 2:00 pm. Both shows will be held at the Outdoor Ice Oval located behind CN Centre. For ticket information, contact the RCMP Policing Office at 561-3366
