Prince George, B.C. – A great two-day event for the youngsters of Prince George wrapped up Saturday at the Civic Centre Plaza.
The 23rd annual KidzArt Dayz, which is sponsored by the Bank of Montreal, transformed the Plaza and the Two Rivers Art Gallery into one gigantic creative zone where the kids could use all sorts of materials to make hats,
paintings, clay sculptures, jewelry, dream catchers and many other works of art.
One of the many volunteers who helped to put on this event, Kelsey MacDonald (pictured at right), was busy keeping tabs on the drying times for the artwork of several young painters who had been working on their Pendulum Paitings. Asked by this not so well-informed reporter how long it took for a painting to dry, Kelsey adeptly replied that "it all depends how much paint they used." So I quietly left.
KidzArt Dayz provides one big venue where people of all ages, but especially kids, can get together and create whatever their mind might want to come up with. Great event, outside in the sunshine and it’s absolutely free!
