Prince George, B.C. – One person is being treated at University Hospital of Northern BC for injuries suffered in a single-vehicle rollover accident on the Upper Fraser Road Saturday afternoon.
Two men had been fishing and were headed toward Upper Fraser in a small pick-up when it rolled in the 32000 block
Upper Fraser Road, about one thousand feet west of Aleza Lake. The driver was ejected from the vehicle and landed on the road surface, leaving a trail of blood. The passenger walked away from the wreck unhurt.

A Prince George RCMP spokesman says the driver suffered serious but not life-threatening injuries. He also says alcohol and speed were contributing factors.
At one point police contemplated bringing in a helicopter to transport the injured man to hospital due to the severity of his injuries. However, he was instead transported by ambulance, which had to stop three times while en route to UHNBC.
Name and home town of the injured man have not been released. Upper Fraser Road was closed to all traffic for several hours while police investigated the rollover.

What is it that American comic says as one of his tag lines?
“You can’t fix stupid”
I’m not sympathetic toward people who drink and drive.
May the road rash be with them.
metalman.
Send him the rescue and medical bills. I do believe if you have an accident resulting from drinking and driving your car insurance is void. That should hurt!
I’m pretty sure your insurance is void if you’re involved in an accident and are found to be under the influence. ICBC will send you a bill for the cost of repairs, etc for whatever else you damage in the accident.
If only every drunk driver out there totalled only their own vehicle and didn’t kill anyone else. If you want to be that stupid and kill yourself, go for it. But too many times it’s the occupants in the other vehicle that are either seriously injured or killed.
I just realized that first sentence of my second paragraph makes no sense. Sunday morning haze, my bad. Basically saying I wish that drunk drivers hurt only themselves and no one else, but all too often that isn’t the case.
