Mayor Mary Sjostrom says the city is very happy with how the event took place "The events , the food, the fact that the community on Sunday entertained the participants in the show with a white water raft trip, showed the true Quesnel hospitality".
The City of Quesnel has granted the participants in the event practise rights at the local airfield and the runway was a busy place on Sunday and is expected to be that way all week says Sjostrom "We are looking at making this a permanent practise runway for aerobatics which would add yet a further dimension to our community".
It is estimated that more than 1,000 vehicles made the trip from Prince George to Quesnel to attend the event.

What is good for Quesnel is good for PG in the long run. If it brings tourists into the region, then it builds up greater potential for all neighboring communities.
We should be actively working with communities like Quesnel, Chetwynd, and McBride on coordinating and promoting circle tour tourism. There is a huge potential in Alberta and the Okanogan to see this part of the world.
yeah, do it for the next two or three years, make it a growing concern. Than some idiot from Prince George will try to do it, and wreck for everyone….. Remember the ones in Vanderhoof.
He spoke… First off Vanderhoof was hundreds of thousands of dollars in debt from hosting the airships and that’s why they stopped hosting it. Prince George gave it a shot and failed.. Don’t blame pg for stealing the show..they didn’t.
